JOB SUMMARY

This position is based in our Auburn, MA office.

Conducts claims investigations, determines coverage and liability, and negotiates (settle, authorize or deny payment) to conclusion the claim within authority limits. Recognizes and investigates all cases involving general liability casualty claims. Ensures timely financial transactions, including reserving and review and payment of vendor bills. Handles litigation cases and attends arbitrations and mediations on assigned files.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•   Bachelor’s degree or comparable, progressive experience

•   GL Experience is strongly preferred.

•   Extensive commercial general liability knowledge desired with ability to analyze and interpret contracts and coverage forms
•   Possession of, or ability to attain, required licensing within 3 - 6 months
•   5+ years claims experience in Property & Casualty Insurance preferred with AIC (Associate in Claims) or alternative designation as approved by management
•   Must be detail oriented with good negotiation skills
•   Strong listening skills
•   Ability to work in a fast pace environment and multi-task
•   Basic understanding of insurance accounting and good decision making skills required
