Job Summary: 

As front line contact with agents, insureds, and claimants: interprets policies; investigates claims and coverages; settles, determines liability, authorizes/negotiates or denies payment of claims within established authority levels and according to company Claim Philosophy, Best Practices, and Regulatory Requirements. Obtains written or oral statements from parties involved in claims, documents claims in accordance with regulatory requirements, and refer files to Special Investigation Unit (SIU) or Subrogration, as needed.


The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to obtain all required licenses within 3 to 6 months.

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in APD is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for helping others.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills.

  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.

  • Persistence and the ability to work through and solve problems.
