 Network Engineering Internship

Details of the Internship:

Dates: 10 week program June 4th-August 10th 
Location: Jacksonville, FL  
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm  (37.5 Hours)
Pay: $14.00hr plus holiday pay (July 4th

*Since the position may lead to full-time employment, we are not accepting applicants CPT, OPT, F1 students of H-1B or EAD candidates at this time.

Skills learned during the internship:

  • Understanding of the networking technologies in use at the Company, including related standards, specifications, physical components and software, including drivers protocols and signaling.
  • Update/create documentation related to review and understanding of the Company's network architecture.
  • Update reference documentation providing detailed information of the Company's network topology.
  • Develop integration level network component diagram with details for one of the Company's application teams.
  • Complete network topology for one of the application teams. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Junior/Senior at a 4 year college or university with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Network + and Cisco certification is desired (CCNA)
  • Please indicate your expected graduation date on your application, e.g., May 2018, December 2018, May 2019, etc.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Demonstrated interest in the area of computer networking through course work or other college assignments related to computer networking.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, organized and self-motivated.
  • Some knowledge of working in a business office environment preferred.
