JOB SUMMARY

This position acts as the project leader for key IT initiatives with full accountability for the success of their projects. Works closely with business partners as needed to develop business cases for IT initiatives. Develops detail project plans and corresponding budget. Coordinate the search and acquisition of vendor tools and resource support. Manages the allocation and assignment of resources to support project activities. Oversees the progress of work and provide ongoing status reports to management. Identifies and resolves project related issues as they are identified. Manages vendor resources as assigned to projects. Monitors and reports on project related expenses. Conducts project debriefings as a means of improving future levels of service.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•   Bachelor’s gegree or higher in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Programming or other related Technology field.
•   PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred
•   5 -10 years of technical IT project management experience.  Experience with property & casualty insurance a plus.
•   Scheduling and budgeting experience at a project and program level
•   Ability to work independently on multiples tasks in a fast-paced environment
•   Strong organizational and time management skills
•   Strong analytical skills and team orientation
•   Robust public-speaking aptitude
•   Advanced customer service skills, especially as related to successful deployment process
•   Proficiency in project management tools, including resource allocation within MS Project
•   Ability to maintain composure, exercise good judgment and act in a professional manner when challenged
