If you answered yes to these questions, the IT Project Manager position with the Main Street America Group may be what you have been looking for.

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing high profile technology projects that span the organization. You will identify, plan, and monitor tasks, you will facilitate productive meetings, and you will keep key stakeholders informed on project status. You will proactively identify and mitigate risk, and you will manage the expedient resolution of issues.

You will be an evangelist for our SDLC and a key change agent to ensure projects are implemented on time and within budget.

• Works closely with business partners, as needed, to develop business cases for IT initiatives.
• Develops detailed project plans and budgets to accomplish projects
• Coordinates the search and acquisition of vendor tools and resource support
• Manages the allocation and assignment of resources to support project activities
• Oversees the progress of work and expenditures and provides ongoing status reports to management.
• Identifies, mitigates, and/or resolves project related risk and issues as they are identified.
• Conducts project debriefing as a means of improving future levels of service
• Understand, follow, and educate project participants on corporate project management processes


  • Solid knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile, Lean, and/or Waterfall SDLCs
  • Demonstrated experience managing/leading projects with teams located in multiple locations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • 5+ years’ experience managing technology projects
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Programming or related field
  • Property and Casualty insurance experience
  • Experience with Planview PPM (formally Innotas)
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with infrastructure and software upgrade efforts
