JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for personal lines underwriting for an assigned region(s). Manages regional underwriting processes to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. Ensures compliance with quality standards and regulatory authorities. Advises staff on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods. Identifies and implements automation and continuous process improvement changes. Acts as lead for Product area on the Agency Management process within the region. Acts as key liaison between Personal Lines and Field Operations on regional Personal Lines issues.

Job Requirements

   Bachelor’s degree required
   CPCU designation preferred
   A minimum of 7 years experience managing underwriting operations, to include experience establishing productivity and quality standards and executing on plans to meet the standards
   A minimum of 5 years experience actively managing state results to achieve profitable growth through the review of Agency Management Reports, creation of action plans, competitive analysis, and the execution of state strategies
   Experience managing staff and partners areas in high change environments
   Demonstrated strong Agency Management Skills; developing and leading the process and applying industry best practices
   Must have understanding of underwriting guidelines
   Excellent decision-making, leadership and organizational skills
   Strong written and oral communication skills

This position can be located in Keene or Syracuse. Travel one week per month will be required to the alternate location.
