Job Description

This position is located in our Auburn, MA office but will also consider candidates in our Jacksonville, FL office.

Conducts claims investigations, determines coverage and liability, and negotiates (settle, authorize or deny payment) to conclusion the claim within authority limits. Recognizes and investigates all cases involving property claims such as homeowners and commercial building. Ensures timely financial transactions, including reserving and review and payment of vendor bills.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Possession of, or ability to attain, required licensing within 3-6 months
  • 3+ years claims handling experience preferred
  • AIC (Associate in Claims) or alternative designation as approved by management
  • Must be detail oriented and organized with good time management and negotiation skills
    Strong listening skills
  • Good written/oral communication, time management and decision making skills
  • Basic understanding of litigation management or the ability to learn
  • Basic understanding of insurance accounting
  • Experience with claims processing software is desired
  • Preferred Xactimate estimating experience 
  • Must have adjusters license.
