Job Description

The Main Street America Group is looking for someone to grow with us in the our Property Claims area. 

Claim Representative Job Summary:

Conducts claims investigations, determines coverage and liability, and negotiates (settle, authorize or deny payment) to conclusion the claim within authority limits.  Recognizes and investigates all cases involving  property claims such as homeowners and commercial building.  Ensures timely financial transactions, including reserving and review and payment of vendor bills.

Sign-on bonus offered, based on experience and skills.

Role Education and Experience Requirements for a Claim Representative:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Possession of, or ability to attain, required licensing within 3-6 months
  • 3 - 5+ years claims experience
  • AIC (Associate in Claims) or alternative designation as approved by management
  • Must be detail oriented with good negotiation skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • A basic understanding of litigation management
  • Must have the basic understanding of insurance accounting and good decision making skills. 
  • Preferred Xactimate estimating experience
