Job Description

This is a remote position in the Phoenix AZ area working from home. 
Job Summary: 

Responsible for day-to-day underwriting and high level agency management support of agents within defined territory. Works as part of an overall team to support the achievement of the annual business plan for assigned key agencies. Maintains and nurtures existing agency relationships to ensure a strong, growing, profitable partnership and achieve expected premium production . Meets and maintains service level commitment to both internal and external customers for commercial and contract bonds. Analyzes financial information, credit reports, contracts, statutes, bond forms, etc. and applies the appropriate use of individual discretionary underwriting authority, while adhering to company and department mandated underwriting guidelines and submission processes, in order to drive profitable bond growth.  Trains and provides on-going support to agents on Main Street Station for Bonds. Underwriting authority assigned for commercial and contract surety products involving complex risks and analysis.

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business administration, finance or related field
  • 4 + years applicable experience
  • Knowledge of Surety Bonds
  • Small Contract experience a plus
  • High level of documented customer service experience
  • Must be able to effectively lead, train, and work collaborately
  • Requires strong analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
