Job Summary:

This position is responsible for marketing and underwriting the company’s surety bond products and services. Develops and maintains agency and community relationships. Provides additional support for the field and provides consulting expertise for customers to generate solutions to problems or identified needs. Provides technical and training support for the small contract program. Implements and coordinates marketing plans to profitably grow small contract business within company guidelines. This position will handle a large number of agencies mostly over the phone with only a minimal amount of face to face agency visitation of 10-15% of the time.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in Business, Marketing or Accounting

  • Completed Fidelity and Surety training or AFSB certification preferred

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Thorough knowledge of underwriting guidelines with emphasis in bond production and underwriting activities

  • Agency management experience a plus

  • Track record of solid production and profitable growth of small contract surety account business

  • High level of analytical, organizational, and communications skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and drive for success
